QiPO Fair 2024 – CDMX
Durden and Ray is thrilled to announce of their participation in QIPO 2024! February 8-11, 2024!
QiPO Fair returns to Mexico City, February 8 to 11, with its biggest event to date during the city’s art fair week. At the junction between Colonias Juarez and Centro, this year’s edition takes place at the newly re-christened Temoskali building in the Ciudadela neighborhood, home to its renowned artisan market and the Centro de Imagen photography museum.
Since its inception, QiPO Fair maintains its focus on collectivism and artist-run initiatives from around the world, featuring artist-run spaces, artist and curatorial groups, alternative spaces, and emerging projects with the goal of providing a friendly and accessible opportunity for both artists and visitors. In addition to our exhibitors, there will be a series of related activities throughout the week including performance and talks, a section for publications, institutions and partnering international fairs, and site-specific installations and projections.
QiPO Fair 2024 is situated within walking distance from Material Art Fair and Salon Acme, along with a host of galleries and pop-up exhibitions in the general vicinity. The selection committee for this year’s edition will be comprised of Alex Paik, Founder and Director of Tiger Strikes Asteroid; independent curator, Carlos Palacios; Raul Zamudio, Founder and Director of Proyectos Raul Zamudio and QiPO Fair directors.
QiPO Fair is a collaboration between QiPO collective and CICLO Arte Para Todos. QiPO began as a team of international curators and artists who joined forces to realize exhibitions, events and various arts related projects around the world with the purpose of promoting dialogue and social engagement. The QiPO collective is a project of Fulcrum Arts’ Emerge fiscal sponsorship program.
