After a dozen events, the series of MAS Attacks — rollicking one-night art exhibitions that promote friendships and prohibit sales — will end with the biggest show of them all, more than 300 artists at the Torrance Art Museum.

The MAS (Mutual Appreciation Society) Attack events, hosted by ARTRA Curatorial, started with 100 artists at the LA Mart in 2013. The goal has been to create connections between artists that would lead to individual opportunities and a stronger art community.

Since that first event, the members of ARTRA — Kio Griffith, Max Presneill, and Colton Stenke — organized eight MAS Attacks in the Los Angeles area, and five outside of L.A.: San Diego, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Albuquerque and Tempe.

MAS Attack 13 will be held at the Torrance Art Museum from 5 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016. The event will include DJ Jay Lizo. As with all the other MAS Attacks, each of the artists will show one work of art, ranging from painting and sculpture to video and performance. The event is free and open to the public.
